Bali Retirement Community
Been here on the "Island of The Gods" since 1992 and you guessed it! I'm still here on the island of the gods. Why are there so many foreigners living here that are miserable, but refuse to leave. I'm talking about the ones who complain about Bali life and how it's better where they came from, the ones who put down the culture, the ones who complain about how unhealthy the food is, the traffic and the obvious pollution.
Why don't they pack it up and get the hell out, if they find Bali makes them so miserable! The truth is they were miserable before they came to Bali, those complainers I mentioned earlier in this post, left Australia, USA, Canada, Europe and other places abroad for Bali, "Island of The Gods". They came here for the same reasons millions of foreigners come to Bali for, the experience of a unique and exciting culture on a tropical island.
Did they forget they moved to a third world country, did they forget that this is their island and there home and we are guests in there country. I feel very fortunate to be able to live as a permanent resident of this magical, wonderful, exciting and interesting island. I thank the Indonesia government for letting me be part of their culture and way of life.

I fully agree, people upset about not having any internet for 24 hours are in the wrong place. As you say we are visitors to this beautiful majestic island and we should all enjoy it

Some people just aren't happy unless they are complaining! You shouldn't try to understand it, just give it a wide berth.

Didn't u know, allegedly all of the posts here is actually part of a huge dramatic play with many writers contributing to the script, soon it will be a Bling City blockbuster, so many twists and tales , story lines constantly changing, many readers unable to tear their eyes away incase something is missed. ( only joking, or am I ) love T.

An yes, I agree. Wtf are people doing there if they do not like it. Why are they there if they want to turn it into that verry same asphalt/concrete hell the supposedly escaped.
Anyways, I have to go and scrape ice of me car now.
