I personally keep reading Jordan B. Peterson book "12 rules for life" No, this is not a "self help" BS, written by a cat lady with a degree in gender studies and feminist dance therapy. I was looking forward to a list to pick my next book but i guess reading books is not as popular as it used to be. :(

Why not start a new 'readers list' and invite others to contribute...that could be a popular thread. Perhaps ask admin to make it a sticky so it's easily accessed. I'd sure find it interesting to read other's views and synopsis of current books....it might also save me some money...:)

I recently read [I][B]Beach Babylon[/B][/I] (2007) by Imogen Edwards-Jones & Anonymous. “How does it feel to live and work in one of the most beautiful and luxurious tropical island resorts in the world?” Anonymous is really the manager of an exclusive five-star island resort and all the incidents actually happened. Of course, the book doesn’t spell out which island it is, but it [I]could[/I] have been somewhere in/off Bali. One of the funniest books I’ve read in quite a while. Obviously, I read it before Nyepi 2018. You’re not [I]supposed[/I] to be reading a book during Nyepi . But nobody will know in the daytime . What about at night? Stephen Hawking just died. I was thinking of re-reading his classic [I]A Brief History of Time[/I]. I’ve read it several times over the years but it’s very difficult to understand ( at least for a mere mortal like me, even with a scientific background). I wonder if there’s a version in Braille that I could read in the dark (not a black hole). Then I remember that I’m not yet physically blind and learning Braille in the next few days seems impossible. Oh – and then I remember I [I]could[/I] read it on my tablet version (internet not necessary). Sorry if this is too silly. Now I've got to swim over to my local bar and hope I don't get struck by lightning. ;)
