I know for sure where you can buy them in bulk at 'non fake antique tourist' prices, but one outlet is in Surabaya, the cheapest, and t'other is in Jakarta, haggle. The Surabaya one is just down from the Ibis Hotel near the docks and looks very grubby and poky from the outside, but inside surprise, surprise, it is very grubby and poky. However, they have those very lamps as well as the wall mounted ones, ships lanterns, navigation lights etc. All with oil pot, wick and trimmer, be warned, they are dangerous, not only do they get hellish hot, the heat generated often expands the brass/copper until the soldered joints leak kerosene. The Jakarta source is Jalan Surabaya ... ahhh knaw a wee bit com plee cated, and there they have those lamps and also really ornate ones with colored glass. Alos you can get all manner of ship regalia and huge bronze CB Gorman diving hats, had awn that;s wrang. Lemme check with the family Grammar Nazi

Thanks Braveheart!Next stop, Surabaya! Any specifics as to a street name?I don't intend to fire them up with oil, am going to convert them to electric . Thanks again

Surabaya - I am not sure if the street has a name, it is on the same Jalan as the Ibis Hotel but seems to merge into a few lanes and alleyways as the road narrows going towards the docks. There are actually a few Ship's Chandler's there, easily identified by the nautical stuff cluttering the pavement outside, ropes, liferings, anchors, liferafts, drunken sailors etc! Regarding converting them to electric, the shop actually did this for my uncle at only the cost of the standard mini ES lampholder and some of those flicker effect bulbs, good for effect but nae use at all for illumination. The dive helmet things, they are Siebe Gorman knock offs but look the part and look brill with a skull inside and a lamp inside that, scares the sh1t outta the locals.

They also have them in DPS - on the parallel road to the Gotso - down and to the left there's a district/street where they only sell lights/lamps. I've seen those there but don't know about quality or price.
