I had some friends from Japan stay at our place and one of their request was Kusamba sea salt. I hadn't heard of it before. I had looked in the supermarkets here fore sea salt but could only find regular table salt. I had read about some farms in the north making salt but had no idea where to buy it.I happened to be at a warung and noticed the difference in the salt, so asked them about it. They sold it to me for 10K a bag. I think similar to the one on the left in your picture. Probably from Pemuteran.

Nice odyssey, and a fun day, typical of what one can (should) do in Bali: discover it. It's endless and full of wonders!

At the local market here in Amlapura sea salt costs 8,000/kilo and I don't need a gps or helicopter to find it.
