Meeting with Banjar

i am meeting the Banjar head this evening before signing house contract. Is there anything customary I should do? Take gift etc?

We made a small contribution to the banjar 'celebration' account...seeing as Nyepi is imminent I'd suggest the same.

This is all new to me (and exciting), would 100,000 be about right?

For me that would be on the low side. I'd at least double that and put into a red-coloured envelope...as its almost Chinese New Year. Also....if you're a Christian call the Church and present an envelope for their Sunday School activities. Best cover all options to have your new acquisition well-blessed...:D

Thank you Davita, We won’t move over fully till next January and have so far got the house on a 6 year contract. We are very much looking forward to it. Thank you for all your advice, I am grateful for people such as you sharing your knowledge and experience
