Hi, can anyone tell me how to get rid of bamboo trees for good?? I cut them down but keep growing so I have to keep cutting them and I don't want to do this anymore. About 15 of them of about 12 to 16 cm in diameter and they are causing a lot of mess so I would like to replace them with something else. Not easy to pull them out... I did tried but it is too hard to achieve because they have been planted between two small walls, wall highs 20 cm and the distance between the walls 25 cm Can you pour lots of bleach around them or it is not strong enough? Thanks

To be 100% you need to dig up the root (culm). If they are a running type of bamboo, culms could be many meters from the main plant. In your case, between two walls, pouring bleach IMO wouldn't do anything. Try to find some vegetation killer at ACE and use according to directions. Bamboo is a very hardy plant. Good luck.

A sure fire killer of plants is to pour about a litre of diesel on the roots - thing is, nothing else will grow there either.

Bamboo belongs to the grass family, so herbicides that kill grasses should work - like roundup for example.
