Is there a dentist in the house?

Just had a front filling come out. We are living in the Jimbaran area. Can anyone recommend a good dentist who will not massively overcharge me for being a bule? My Indonesian wife also needs a little attention so I guess we should make her appointment first.

I have used the raya tuban clinic for a few years ,if you have a kitas you get local price ,our bpjs is based there also ,a few kilos from you guys in jimbaran .

Thanks for the recommendation tels22. We made a 4 o'clock appointment for yesterday and left home at 3pm. One hour later and were were not even half way there. Rain, traffic creeping along slower than walking pace. Rang this morning and took about half an hour to get there. Found a parking space at the front of the clinic. We waited just a few minutes and were both attended. My wife had 4 minor holes in different teeth and I had my front tooth filling replaced for $50. (Used Kitas for local rates.) The whole lots cost us about $250 and I daresay just that one filling for me would have cost that much in Australia. So, all things considered a good result and another example of the value of this forum. (My thanks to the moderators.)

I am curious about this, because the last time I went to see a doctor in a hospital having a Kitas, I got charged Harga Kitas, not harga local, it seems there is local prices, kitas prices and tourist prices, at that time I didn´t know this, I though I will be charge as a local for having a Kitas but was not the case in that hospital. In fact it was quite expensive and they left me thinking how much it would have been if I would be a tourist patient. There is a global rule or all of them follow different rules?

knowing indonesia morals re money , I would suggest there may be some variance from local price , with various clinics and hospitals but iv always found raya tuban clinic pretty honest , and now as I have bpjs its always free .
