I must admit it does say that all phone calls and messages are answered with warmth. However as per usual it does not say WHEN.Admittedly I only wanted to order 30 pies, so it was not a big order but an answer would have been a nice way to start. Our day starts at 5 AM, we often answer phone calls at 11 PM or greet guests after midnight. If a person wants a business to succeed a pretty little advertisement is not enough. Customer service must come into it somewhere.

Ertert came to Sanur yesterday in the endless search for a good Aussie pie. At this stage I was out getting some items when an essential item came to mind "BEER". A small cake shop named Ruth's Diner was near by so I risked asking for a cold beer. Lo and behold not only was there beer, it was also cold. Armed with the beer I went to the second level which has an open air gazebo. This overlooks the Sanur golf course (see photo).Being a very social type of person (Insert loud mouth, if you prefer) I got chatting to a guy already there. it turns out that he is the owner and talks funny like Markit and Smoke. He was cooking some Texan Smoked Pork Ribs in his outdoor smoker. Of course this lead to a chat about food. For some obscure reason he mentions that he produces three different types of pies. They were due to come out of the oven right about then.At this stage Ertert phones me, hoping to meet up. The American guy (Jeff) gives me 3 different types of pies and send me on my way. The pies were great. So it seems we may have found the great Aussie pie. They are made by a bloody American.

I am sorry if my posts above are not clear. The American guy (Jeff) who made the pies is a great guy. Ertert and I then met up in another bar where an American guy (Maurice) was the pain in the arse.
ertert
Maurice is Canadian...you were not listening to his gibberish!

Maurice is American that is why his Kiwi mate (Greg) told him to shut up. No one ever listens to the gibberish from Maurice. He is what is known as a bar clearer.

In the history of America there was never, ever a person called Maurice. I don't know this sorry individual but he is only deserving of our joint pity and support. Anyone whose parents thought so little (of him?) that they called the issue of their joint love Maurice is doomed to a life of misery and rejection. The only thing worse would be to be called Ron.

C'mon lets be real with the facts?

I looked up the name Maurice and found this...Maurice is a baby boy name.In Greek the meaning of the name Maurice is: Dark. In American the meaning of the name Maurice is: Dark. In English the meaning of the name Maurice is: Dark-skinned; A Moor. In French the meaning of the name Maurice is: Dark-skinned; A Moor. In Latin the meaning of the name Maurice is: Moorish; dark-skinned; swarthy. People with this name have a deep inner desire to serve humanity and to give to others by sharing money, knowledge and experience, or creative and artistic ability. They are excellent at analyzing, understanding, and learning. They tend to be mystics, philosophers, scholars, and teachers. Because they live so much in the mind, they tend to be quiet and introspective, and are usually introverts. When presented with issues, they will see the larger picture. Their solitary thoughtfulness and analysis of people and world events may make them seem aloof, and sometimes even melancholy. Is this the same guy observed in post #31-33......:icon_e_surprised:edit...am I mistaken...do you guys mean (Maurice) is the nic for an aussie meat pie?
