harryopal With the entry to Jalan BypassNgurah Rai adjacent to the airport closed most of us in the south will now have to use the motorway to go north. (There is another route but I gather it adds about half an hour to the journey.) Previously you were supposed to be able to buy cards at IndoMart but our local store doesn't have them. It seems the tollway is now selling cards at the toll entry. We got caught the other day without a card and were saved by the car owner behind us allowing us to pay him and use his card. I am sure this is reliable information as I was told by a Real Esate Agent and we know that Real Estate Agents never lie. Whatever, we will be using the tollway on Monday so will soon find out if we can or can't.
davita Surely you can get a card from any Indomart and there are plenty. The card never expires so it's prudent to keep one available just in case the toll is necessary....whether in the travel plan or not.
davita harryopal wroteMy wife tried Indomart in Jalan Uluwatu in Jimbaran and they didn't have the cards. I meant there are plenty of Indomarts....maybe the one nearest you just ran out of cards.
harryopal Tried two more Indomarts and neither had cards. They seemed to think that was funny, which I suppose it is. Does this mean Budi Karya Sumadi gets a promotion.
harryopal We set off for the Tollway this morning from JImbaran and stopped at another Indomart to be told they didn't have any toll cards either. So we took a punt and headed to the entry points. There is no signage to help know which lane to go to if you don't have a card. As it turned out we joined a line that was automatic and managed to move into a lane signed as Electric tolling only but at which there were attendants. They didn't have cards either but were able to take payment so we got through. On the return journey no signage to help people without cards and cash only to be sure which lane to try. So we went for one where there was an attendant and were able to buy a card.
