Hilariously wrong! But well meant....Goa should look east, emulate Bali's success

Absolutely brilliant article. Thanks for the link, Markit.Funniest load of crap I've read in a long time. It's going to take me weeks to stop laughing.Obviously, whoever wrote it has never been here. Some of my favourites:Bali's infrastructure is excellent. The roads, signalling systems, scientifically designed footpaths, proper signage and one-way main arterial roads allow accident-free flow of traffic. Civic sense on the roads too is impressive.
The airport is well planned.
Excellent infrastructure, good transport system, safe environment and zero garbage are the most important factors for Bali's tourism prowess.
And like in Goa, in Bali too domestic tourists spend more than foreign visitors.
The beautiful landscape is thanks to a novel building regulation which bans constructions higher than a coconut tree. Barring one, no building in Bali is higher than 15 metres.Roads are driver friendly, designed to minimize accidents.
I guess that weed is still widely smoked in Goa...:icon_e_biggrin:

Do you get locked up in goa for a little bit? ?.....if not might have to goa dare

In my humble opinion India is the mighty economic powerhouse and guiding democratic light that it is in the world today solely due to abundant and easy access to all forms of weed and hashish. On an individual level personal spacial awareness is also constantly honed by the simple fact that everyone in India shits everywhere and unless you wear Wellingtons you need to watch where the fuck you walk - always.

I think this article was written for "The Onion". It has to be tongue-in-cheek, surely.

I'd be interested how you could tell which species it was - taste test or form factor? Every time I'm in India, Pakistan or Sri Lanka I wear flip-flops and wish I had fishing waders.

actually the funniest thing is that if you compare JUST goa and bali - almost everything is true, especially about garbage, infrastructure and roads :lemo:

I mean, I really like Bali but these guys have never seen my bit of it, that's for damned sure.I've been to Goa a couple of times and compared to Bali it's empty - no people. All of Bali's problems stem from the fact that there's between 3.5 and 7 million people living on a very small piece of ground. Move the people on and it will get better. Move them to Goa?

After you...
