Hi there guys and gals,
Just returned to bali after a 5- month hiatus back to the s**t-storm in Trumpland due to back problems. Second day back and I break my glasses. As I am an old goat I really need new ones. Any suggestions for opticians to use (or not use) in Ubud?
Thanks in advance.

I've always used Optik Melawei...they are all over Indonesia and they do eyetests first to establish your lens needs.
I've just recently purchased a new pair because my 5 year old 'Silhouette' frame broke. Silhouette are those very fine frames you can hardly see.... and very bendy.
Not only did I get 'new' eyesite from the new spectacles... they welded my old ones for Rp200,000 and I still keep as spare.
Takes about a week for the lens to be ground and fitted into the selected frames....in Jakarta, I believe. They will even provide lens only if your frames are OK.
