You can no longer run away to live on a desert island.

It's such a huge problem all over the world that nobody seems to know what to do about it, except perhaps Jeremy Irons. At the lowest level, if I see e.g. a USB stick I want to buy, encased in half an acre of plastic that requires industrial cutting tools to open, what do I do? Refuse to buy it in protest? No, I buy it then slice my finger off with a box cutter trying to get at it. It's infuriating, but what can be done? Everything is wrapped in indestructible plastic..... except beer. That comes in recyclable cardboard and glass. God bless the beer makers. So that is the answer then. Have a beer and try not to worry about it.

I just hope that all the people that blame Bali alone for the problem see this too - not to clear Bali of any blame but it's not just a local problem. Trash Heros (Bali) can pick up shite all day and every day and it's just not gonna run out. Bit depressing really.
