Dear all,I was informed by my agent that a single exit re-entry visa is not available anymore but it is now a multiple exit re-entry visa (for a lot more money of course) and valid for only 6 months. For again more money there is one valid for 1 year. I am not a person that travels all the time in and out the country but maybe ones a year. Money milking?? Any comments on this, I mean do you know is this true?Dick

I'm in the process right now of renewing and my agent haven't mentioned any change to the multi.... This being Bali that doesn't mean shit until you've got the docs in your hot, sweaty little had though. Understand also I'm not keen to bring the subject up with them as it will just give them silly ideas too. So watch this space...

My lady has the information now from My Lord Imigrasi himself and a few other agents. It is true! And it is about double the price.

Was at the imigrasi yesterday here in Pemaron, and there they knew nothing about a change of procedure+price regarding the exit/re-entry permit application.

MY MERP (multiple re-entry permit ) Cost me 1juta in Dec. last year. It is valid until about 1 month before your KITAS expires (so you have 1 month to renew your KITAS)
Normy
If you have a MERP do you also require exit permits, or are they included in MERP?
Fred2
Multiple Exit Re-entry Permit =MERPCost is Rp1,000,000 for 11 months, if you pay more you get the express service.Klaatu did you live in Darwin?

Ha ha, you still have to pay the 200k on exiting this bed of roses.

If you are on a Kitas you only need to spend 7 days a year in Indonesia to keep you visa.If you get to know the people in Immigration you can have a exit permit in 3 hours, best to know the people that can make life easy in Indonesia.

I remember some one from Darwin getting married in Banyuwangi?A great place to live no tourist

Banyuwangi has its plus points. Near enough to Bali to nip across on the ferry when things get you down.Much cheaper than Bali, lifestyle, property, land.Very few tourists.Access to some stunning scenery. Some very colourfull locals.Unspoilt surf beaches to the south with some awesome breaks....and some minus.Home to some religious extremists.Don't expect to find 'pubs' or restaurants Kuta style.Hotel standards very much aimed at locals, with a few exceptions.Limited 'western' grocery shopping, although much more fresh vegetables and local produce available.Limited access to media in general. That very inviting looking beach just north of the ferry terminal has one of the worst rips I have ever experienced, recorded at 6knts during an ROV test. There's a lot more +/- but there's a few to be going on with.Compiled by the Honorary Bishop of Banyuwangi
