Jonnoreynolds hi all, I'm coming to Bali for one (+) year and don't know a lot about import laws. I have been about 7 times just as a tourist but know it's a whole different ball park... I know it's really had to get cars in and if it's second hand then near impossible! I am a mad keen Motorsport lover, I can't go that long without racing. I am looking to import a rally car to use on a friends farm out the back of tabanan. Is this possible? I would be able to land a WRX for around $4000 AUD. what other fees am I looking at from there, if even possible! I have searched everywhere for the answer but no luck... Thanks in advance for you knowledge!
Markit Forget importing your rally car as quickly as you can. The customs will cause you more grief than you will believe and then charge you more than the value of the car. That's if they even let you bring it. Best thing to do is take your $4000 and hang out in Sanur at Ron's/Citi's Garden Bar and make yourself and all the ladies there happy for as long as your money lasts. Trust me 2 hours with one of those lovelies will damned near kill you and you don't even have to leave the bedroom.
