Hi Klaatu, Have bought many, many tools over the years in Bali (enough to owner build a house, 3 boats and do all my home mechanics at least) and sadly the range seems to be shrinking rather than improving. Try Ace Hardware in Kuta Square, Mitra 10 or Depo Bangunan (top floor). Most of these places seem to be more focused on homewares and building products nowadays and what they carry seems to vary wildly. If you do happen to strike somewhere else would be very interested to know myself. Cheers, Adam

i realise you can buy things online,thats why i got online here to ask where to buy something in Bali! Believe it or not america is not the only place in the world that uses imperial measurement tools!

Many years ago in Bangdung there was a flea type market and it sold 2nd hand mechanical, electrical equipment and tools i remember seasrching for 9/16 sockets and spanners and we found them there. However i cannot recall anything like that market in Denpasar I would guess there is still thousands of old imperial spanners and sockets around.

If you want the best Chee Fatt Co Singapore (Proto Tools) or trakindo (Caterpillar). If just cheap tools go for Krisbow store or ACE Hardware they sell Krisbow brand.

well i found a good set of imperial allen keys and a set of torx bit keys at Surabaya Baut on Jl. Iman Bonjol..they've got lots of good stuff there

Also bought a set of 14 gigantic spanners 3/16_1&1/4 online through Bukalapak..a reliable online system like e bay maybe where if goods don't show up you are covered and goes in the kitty for something else.
