DenpasarHouse wroteThe Indonesian tolerance of chaos is both admirable and at the same time exasperating. Admirable because it means that life goes on without them having a nervous breakdown in the midst of the chaos. But exasperating in that it keeps them from really concentrating on getting the details right or thinking deeply/critically about a problem.
If you look at the video there's a million hangers on, people shouting out, and constant flashes from photographers. It's not an environment conducive to getting to the bottom of something.
I feel that Indonesians take the same amount of care with matters of life and death as they do with everyday things. They don't change their behaviour for different circumstances. I was convinced of this by watching the new pedestrian crossing outside Ramayana. It was still very new and most of the traffic was going straight through the red light as if it didn't exist. They're just not thinking! Rant over.
I have been saying this since 16 years ago and thousand of times!! in my modest opinion that describe very well in general local people, I am not sure if this is the same on the rest of the Country but at least my experience in Bali.
