Pertagas Wins at 2024 Asian Impact Awards

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), as an affiliate of Pertamina Gas Sub Holding, won 6 international awards at the 2024 Asian Impact Awards organized by La Tofi School of CSR and Portman Education in Selangor, Malaysia, according to reporting from Antara News.

Pertamina Gas Corporate Secretary Muhammad Baron, in a statement in Jakarta, Monday (23/9/24,) expressed his gratitude for the international recognition given through this award.

“Pertamina Gas is committed to continuing to assist the community in achieving independence through sustainable CSR programs,” he said, adding that he would continue to strive to create a broad impact that not only meets the needs of the community but also encourages decent economic growth.

“We believe, with the right collaboration and initiatives, we can realize a wider multiplier effect for the communities around our operational areas,” said Baron.

Antara News reports that Pertamina Gas, as an energy infrastructure company with operational areas in Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan and Papua has recorded assets in the midstream to downstream sector with 62 pipelines with a length of 2,930 km, two LPG Plants with a capacity of 1,130 tons per day, a regasification terminal with a capacity of 400 BBtud and an LNG Hub with a capacity of 127,000 M3 as supporting infrastructure for energy distribution in Indonesia.

Baron also emphasized Pertamina Gas’ commitment to Environmental Social Responsibility which is an important part of realizing the Social License to Operate (SLO) in the company’s business operations.

“Through the implementation of this CSR program, we gain social legitimacy from our buffer zone community ,” he said.

The Asian Impact Awards is an award for companies in Asia that have shown significant program implementation impact. The international award was given in recognition of Pertamina Gas’ contribution in initiating community empowerment around its operational areas through the implementation of sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.

The six awards won at the 2024 Asian Impact Awards include four CSR Leading Impact Awards. Among them, the Social Category includes Operation East Java Area (OEJA) with the Kidung Tanggulangin program, which focuses on assisting ODGJ patients to restore their social functions. Then, Operation South Sumatera Area (OSSA) with the Pusaka Tani program, which seeks to realize sustainable living through water resource management in Sidomulyo Village, South Sumatra, says Antara News.

In addition, Operation Kalimantan Area (OKA) with the Permata Borneo program, which is a forest and ecology-based farmer community empowerment in Kalimantan and Operation West Java Area (OWJA) with the Perkasa Bumi-Ku program, which presents sustainable innovation to create food security in the coastal agricultural area of ​​Indramayu won in the Environmental Category.

Meanwhile, two other Awards were won by the Corporate Secretary and Manager of Communication, Relations and CSR of Pertagas as CSR Leader Impacts for their commitment to encouraging initiatives and implementing CSR programs so that they have a broad impact on the community around their operational areas.

Portman College CEO, Gym Chan as the event organizer, expressed his appreciation for companies in Asia that are fully committed to implementing CSR programs as a form of Corporate Social Responsibility.
