Indonesia, Libya Explore Oil and Gas Expansion

Libya Observer is reporting that Libya’s Acting Minister of Oil and Gas for the Government of National Unity (GNU), Khalifa Abdul Sadik, met with Indonesia’s Chargé d’Affaires to Libya, Didi Al-Rifai, on Wednesday (31/7/24,) to discuss opportunities for expanding cooperation in the oil and gas sectors.

During the meeting, Abdul Sadik detailed Libya’s strategic vision for developing its oil and gas industry, highlighting the potential for international partnerships. He underscored the importance of leveraging the expertise of global companies to explore and develop Libya’s untapped onshore and offshore resources.

Abdul Sadik emphasized the strong ties between Libya and Indonesia, noting that collaboration could significantly benefit both nations by fostering the development of human resources and facilitating the exchange of technical expertise, according to Libya Observer.

The discussion was attended by key officials from the Ministry of Oil and Gas, including directors of technical affairs, planning, and follow-up, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
