Indonesia’s Largest Investment Forum Set to Return

B-Universe Media Holdings and the state-owned bank BNI will hold its annual investment forum at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on October 8 to 9, according to reporting from Jakarta Globe.

The two-day 2024 BNI Investor Daily Summit will zero in on critical issues related to Indonesia’s economy, according to B-Universe’s chief executive officer Rio Abdurrachman.

Jakarta Globe says that as many as 3,000 people are expected to take part in the forum that is set to be launched by President Jokowi. This year’s conference has also picked “Accelerating Resilient Growth” as its theme. This is also Indonesia’s largest investment forum that has caught the attention of investors and business leaders, according to Rio.

“The 2024 Investor Daily Summit will discuss 15 critical issues and present 50 speakers both from home and abroad,” Rio told a press conference at BNI Tower in Jakarta on Monday (30/9/24.)

These speakers also include policymakers, thus enabling the audience to get an insight into Indonesia’s economic trends. Rio added: “Some topics that the forum will discuss include technology, energy transition, carbon bourse, healthcare, human capital, and many other important issues.”

The forum is also quite timely as it is just weeks before Jokowi hands over the presidential baton to his successor Prabowo Subianto. B-Universe’s executive chairman Enggartiasto Lukita said that the forum would also inform the audience on the continuity in Jokowi and Prabowo policies.

“So [we should discuss] the continuity [of their policies] and how it will impact the businesses. And how will the government provide certainty to these investors,” Enggartiasto said.

Jakarta Globe says this marks the third time for BNI to collaborate with B-Universe on hosting this forum. BNI president director Royke Tumilaar said that the bank hoped that the forum could drive optimism.

“So this will help accelerate Indonesia’s growth which will not only be beneficial for BNI but also investors and creditors,” Royke said.
