Kartini Day is celebrated every April 21. This refers to the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 108 of 1964, issued by the first President of the Republic of Indonesia, Soekarno, which designated Kartini as a National Independence Hero and also established Kartini’s birthday on April 21 as a big day which later became known as Kartini Day, according to Tempo.
