LRT Jabodebek Adds More Trips for the Holiday Season

According to reporting from Tempo, LRT Jabodebek will increase its scheduled trips in anticipation of the Christmas and New Year holidays, and starting December 27 to 29, will operate 240-trips, or a 25-percent increase in frequency.

Manager of LRT Jabodebek’s Public Relations Mahendro Trang Bawono stated that this increase was intended to anticipate a spike in passengers during the holiday season. LRT Jabodebek will also extend its operational hours until 01.42 am WIB (Western Indonesia Time) on December 31 to welcome the new year.

“We have seen the enthusiasm of people who will celebrate [the New Year], so we will extend our operational hours of LRT Jabodebek,” he said in a written statement on Wednesday (20/12/23.)

Tempo report that during this holiday season, LRT Jabodebek invites its customers to celebrate and explore Jakarta and its surrounding areas by boarding LRT Jabodebek which is entirely run on an elevated railway track.

For those who plan to spend their holiday using LRT Jabodebek, Mahendro recommended they board during the off-peak hours at 05.00 to 05.59 am, 09.00 am to 03.59 pm WIB, and 07.00 pm WIB until the end of operational hours.

“There is also a promo fare of minimum IDR 3,000 and maximum fare of IDR 10,000,” he added.

LRT Jabodebek is committed to creating a memorable trip for its passengers. Mahendro hopes that adding more trip schedules will accommodate the needs of its passengers planning to celebrate the New Year and their holiday, say Tempo.
