Pakuwon and Marriott to Develop Luxury Hotels in IKN

Tempo are reporting that PT Pakuwon Jati Tbk in cooperation with Marriott International is set to develop three luxury hotels; Westin, Four Points, and Tribute Portfolio in the new capital of Nusantara (IKN.)

Pakuwon and Marriott International inked the agreement to develop the hotels in Jakarta on Wednesday (13/09/23.) The partnership is a follow-up to Pakuwon’s agreement with PT Bina Karya last July concerning an integrated shopping center development in IKN.

“This development is part of Pakuwon’s mixed-use in IKN,” said the President Director of Pauwon Alexander Stefanus during the signing.

According to Alexander, the hotel development will be simultaneous to IKN development. Further, Alexander mentioned that the first hotel to be built was the Four Points Hotel, followed by Westing and Tribute Portfolio, report Tempo.

At the same event, the President of Marriott International for the Asia Pacific, Excluding China (APEC), Rajeev Menon mentioned that Marriott and Pakuwon are among the first to develop hotels in IKN.

“The hotel development is important to us since we will have the opportunity to become the first parties to develop hotels in IKN with Pakuwon which is committed to developing the best hotels from all aspects,” Rajeev said.

Meanwhile, IKN Authority Head Dhony Rajahoe stated that the hotels are going to be located at a highly strategic location in IKN. “In front of Sumbu Kebangsaan Park,” he said.
