Gee,

Large files, Dr Bruce uses cd quality HiFi to broadcast his voice....
That's It !!

Thanks for the mention, Bert. Yes, geese, ducks, chickens and children. A noisy group all around.

Hi drbruce
I just had a look at your blog site and listened to your Life In The Tropics podcast #21. It was "OK" but I wonder why it's necessary to read stuff that's easily available in "print-form" from the original sources? Doesn't do much for me apart from hearing you reading. I liked the music intro - who was that?

Now, maybe in your other podcasts you do what I am about to suggest. For me, it would be more interesting if you record yourself together with your local community members doing whatever it is you and they normally do. Capture some audio ambience, for example. Again, I haven't listened to the one with chickens/geese, etc.

I'm also not sure that you need to use "CD quality" for recording voices.

Hi Phil,

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I guess the listeners just want to hear my lovely voice. Apparently some people would rather listen than read. Or they enjoy my witty comments. Who knows?

My podcast is part of an education project that I'm doing with students from my school and another about how to create and use podcasts.

I lost the source of the music, but it was from a free site for podcasts.

Thanks for the idea. That's something to do when I get to retirement in a few months.

No worries Dr. Bruce. Phil hasn’t offered a decent compliment to anyone since we found him washed up on shore here years ago!

It's just his nature I guess! :P

No problems, drbruce

Just my initial reactions, that's all. I used to be a "sound/recording engineer" in spare time in Australia years ago. Also did stuff in community FM radio stations, etc.
And BTW,
I'm not drowning, just waving...

Best wishes for your approaching "retirement". If you're like many "retirees" I know, you'll be busier than ever before.
