You are going to be charged to get your money into the paypal system - here it's about %4 surcharge on the credit card payment. Once it's in their system though it seems like it's freely tranferable anywhere paypal is.

How difficult is an Indo credit card to get?

    shikes...4%...

When I opened up a bankaccount, they asked if I wanted a CC..so I guess it's not hard to get one.
don't read between the lines..i think the words are clear enough...:)

Don't get me wrong - credit transfers from my bank account to my paypal account (so long as the currency is the same) are free. It's only when you have a credit card payment involved that they charge 3 - 4% tops, if you do £15,000 a month then it drops to 1.5% . Unfortunately I don't qualify for that - not even nearly...

Paypal do not charge for tranferring money into your bank account that the credit card is listed to. The credit card will charge for withdrawing money from your bank to paypal. After a listing fee on eBay you get charged a final value fee on the sale price which varies in different catagories. Sending money from paypal to another paypal account costs nothing.

I've got a Premier Account, maybe thats why. The last payment I received was for $200 and was charged $8.10. I had over 40 payments that went through last year and they all had similar charges on them as well. When I transfer money from paypal to my bank account it gets converted to NZ dollars. I'm not sure what exchange rate they use but its terrible. I just assumed it was Paypal that were taking a cut.

We have no Kita's and are in Bali on a Tourist Visa - Extend it every month.
We have a Nominee (like everybody) who is the "owner" of the business.

    Somebody can advice?
why must with nominee, better do it legal and make your business safe. make PMA have kitas and run your business on your own name..

Just opened a couple of accounts at the local BNI. Both in my name - one was a rupiah account and the other was a $ account.

FYI - the $ account needed to be started/primed with $300.00 to open it. The Rupiah account could not be opened in just my name but I needed to either show my Kitas, which I don't have, or I needed the signiture of "my" village head. I thought this was hilarious - I haven't needed adult supervision for quite some time.

In the end it was sufficient for my sponsor to just ask them nicely and doors opened (bank accounts too).

So the moral of the story is: Any Bule can open an account at BNI as long as you have your Indo mum with you
