Rather than start a new thread, thought i would post here. We just upgraded our power supply in Bintaro, Jakarta from 2200 to 4400 , cost 4 million and took 1 month. All was quite easy really

Well, now you've gone and done it. You've made me raging jealous. We'll move into our house in about four weeks and don't expect to have any power for months. There isn't enough electricity in our village. We must wait for a transformer to be installed and then for the cables to be run. I am not looking forward to listening to the generator for months.

    Cool

Goldminer did you do this over the internet?
I know Bali has problems with power, but we have a factory in surabaya & we are upgrading to 3phase. This has taken 2 months so far as we have not paid the go fast tax yet. there is no problem with the power line as they already go past the building.

Fred, we sent the money to my sister in law and she arranged it She didnt seem to encounter any problems and she doesnt have any influence anywhere, so not sure. I have found doing business in Java/Jakarta is much easier than Bali. Maybe the muslim influence
