Wood is a per meter calculation so it depends upon how large your windows are and how thick the wood around them should be.

Plastic lasts forever! Don't we wish it didn't? Having said that I can imagine that plastic windows are more expensive than the wood ones as they are surely not produced here on the island and must probably be imported from either Java or Oz.

Just a guess though since I have actually never seen any here...?

I agree with you, Markit, how absurd to be discussing PLASTIC of all things when we are blessed in Bali with abundance of natural materials.... but then, vodka addles the brain, they say!

From October this year I will be exporting some Merbau from Surabaya to India.

While our Indian buyer is taking sizeable quantities, I am willing to consider selling smaller lots of Merbau. I don't have any clear pricing worked out yet, and certainly not for smaller, casual allotments, but anyone needing Merbau for their own, building purposes might like to check back with me via PM.

I don't know if this general declaration of intent is acceptable by Forum rules. Given that others are offering various service, I am supposing it is. After all, other things being equal, this ought to result in benefits and savings for the home-builder.
