kintamani, she said she had to check with her husband as she would be away from home but was willing to offer 1.000.000 a month plus what she needed, Guess in the end she didnt need the job, she kind of refused it even before her pay offer
Hi Bobhope, you are responding to a 2004 thread. The cost of hiring people has increased a bit in the last 7 years.
Some French neighbours of mine got a lovely Javanese pair to look after their house while they're gone to France by advertising in the Expat rag for home help. He does the gardening and she house inside - seems to work out OK. Some will tell you to hire from the local community only but this seems to put the lie to that as the couple have said they keep themselves to themselves and all is OK...
Personally I'd be a bit sceptical having someone to watchover my house that I had just met/hired. But shit can happen with people you've known for decades too.
