Renting out your house
We want to rent out our house for 1 year.
Just wondering: when people want to rent a house for only 1 year they are maybe just moving over to Bali and getting settled, so I am assuming majority would want it furnished? When I say furnished, does this usually include everything such as linen/crockery/cutlery?
I see houses advertised for a set amount per year, but I don't ever see anyone asking for 'bond' is this something that doesn't happen in Bali? Or the rent you charge covers any damage?
This is not ready to happen yet, just getting a few ideas before we go ahead with it

Yes, most rentals for that period of time, are furnished, including everything, that can be negotiated, depending on wether they have some of their own equipment, furniture, plates etc etc.
Always include a bond, which can be a percentage of the monthly rental price.
Make sure when you do the agreement that it states the property cannot be rented to someone else during that period of time, I know people who have been caught out, with the rentor then renting to others, which can obviously cause a problem.
I have just learnt that pleasing everyone is impossible. But, pissing them off is a piece of cake
