New in this forum
You may have heard my story a few times before.
Visited North Bali in several occasions. Finally I couldn’t resist buying a piece of land in Lovina.
During my last stay I made a down payment before a notary and now I have till end of August to close the deal.
I certainly need some professional help. I have some local friends with good will that want to help me but unfortunately they are not professionals.
Can someone offer me some indications on who to contact in the Lovina area that can assist me fixing all the paperwork? I’ve been in contact with a notary, but after some superficial readings on this forum I feel I need something more than a notary. Can anyone recommend me an expert real estate attorney in the Lovina area?
I hope to be a member of this expat community in the near future.
Thanks
LMM
If Bert doesn’t spot this post and reply, send him a PM as he should know several up there.
Good luck with your project in Lovina. Many of those who are “in the know” are convinced that the north shore area will be the next “boom town” in real estate development. It’s easy to see why...it’s a great area with lots of appeal.
Selamat hari raya Nyepi!
Hello Roy & Bert
I’m so glad you answer my call for help. Bringing things together 15.000 km. from home is becoming quite a challenging experience. Any assistance is sincerely appreciated.
The Notari I went to last month was Ms. Adriana Else Meoko, SH, in Singaraja.
Regarding Roy’s comment about Lovina becoming the next “boom town” in real estate development I must say it doesn’t make me particularly happy. We chose Lovina as our next home because we like it the way it is now. Being myself an architect and a regional planner and my wife a real state lawyer we hope one day we can help maintaining the “boom” under control.
Thanks again

Don't worry. No boom in sight. Just a slowly increasing number of expats finding a home...
I don't know this Notary. Neither do I know an attorney in the North doing land deals.
I usually have contact with :
Notaris & PPAT
Farida Andriani S.H.
Jl Dewi Sartika 12b
Telp. 0362-22926
Singaraja Bali
She speaks English, and you can always ask her for a second opinion. (Tell Bert send you)
Great
Maybe an email?
THanks

Ah, but my list of folks in Seminyak that were saying exactly that just 8 years ago.
Anyone care to guess just how many hectares of sawah beras is now left in Seminyak?
Hi Bert
As you anticipated it is taking a while to contact notary Farida.
Furthermore some recent headaches are complicating my deal.
Can you recommend me a local attorney that can help me interacting with Farida.?
Thanks again.

I'm waiting for a boom as well...own property in Singaraja (Ngurah Rai) and Lovina (next to the post office). Would be nice for property values to jump :)
