Hi Guys
Can someone please enlighten a dumb aussie and explain what an ARE is as a unit of measurement i.e. conversion to meters etc......

If I may just clarify : 1 Are = 100 m2 (which is 10 linear metres x 10 linear metres)

Also, 100 are = 1 hectare = 10,000 square metres
