Hi Guys
Can someone please enlighten a dumb aussie and explain what an ARE is as a unit of measurement i.e. conversion to meters etc......
Or is that ARA ?
1 Are = 100 m2 (i.e. 100 mtrs x 100 mtrs square)
If I may just clarify : 1 Are = 100 m2 (which is 10 linear metres x 10 linear metres)Originally Posted by matsaleh
Also, 100 are = 1 hectare = 10,000 square metres
Thanks guys...........opps
I mean ladies
Cheers
Don
Thanks Freogirl,
You're absolutely correct... don't know where my head was today.
Don't worry Mats. It seems every single day recently my head is somewhere else and what is worse it does not tell the rest of me where it is :-)

This might be handy for you also Don

That's a handy one Dasha - I always wondered what the conversion to acres was - thanks for that

Are you up for some Quaff time with Roy Eri Gayle and I in Jan 2006?
Would love to catch up with you and as many of the crew on the BEF site and Lombok Lovers.
