Thread: Griya Alam Pecatu

Hi

Does anyone know anything much about the complex Griya Alam Pecatu near Dreamland?

Im going to see a house there tomorrow. Looking for somthing a bit bigger than we have right now, in Bali. Any feedback good or bad appreciated.

I saw a few complexes there last September, but I have to say they are beginning to look like the housing estates here in Australia.
Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes made of ticky tacky etc.
There is a lot of bulldozing and land clearing happening and I expect there will be a country club soon.

hmmm - well I'm in a BTN type estate now so not much different. I have to say I loved the house at Griya Alam Pecatu today. It had a nice little garden and would pretty much meet my needs. Its not going to be a full time home, that's in Kuta, Lombok. I just need to sort out some issues like phone and net availability. The biggest bonus for me is the pool they are in the process of building. I dont swim in the sea so a pool 100meters away would be bliss!

The houses on the righ hand side as you drive in are still under development but further in to the left there are some that have been there a while. I have put a couple of pictures up on my facebook and the album can be viewed by anyone on this link.

Should be the last couple of photos in the album, two of the exterior, one of the pool under construction.

I'll be more than happy with it as long as I can get the net sorted out!

Dear Gemma, i like Griya Alam Pecatu, expecially if you have great view from there and i think it´s will be a good location for the future... maybe in 5 year?

Well I am only contracting the house for a year for now. I have had another house in Bali since last March and want an extra bed room for when I am here now as I bring my little boy and one of our girls who works for us with me. And yes it does have an ocean view from the bedroom terrace.

I think if I decide on a long term base in Bali I would look at building but certainly at the moment I cant afford that, so its just a temporary solution.
