Hallo everybody.
I'm planning to move in Bali as soon as.
I need to understand what are the prices of buy a land and make your own home as you want or buy a prefabricated one?
What will be more expensive?
Is better make you own or buy one?
Which is the differences between, in every point of view?
Suppose to have for spend no more than 120.000-150.000$ USD.
I really like balinese home style.
Sorry for my bad english but I'm Italian :)
And we dont have such a great forum like this one.
Thank you very much in advance.
Cheers,
Manuel
welcome MANUEL what type of house do you want a 6 bedroom villa with a pool and all the trimings. or a nice 2 or 3 bedroom BALI style house. the price depends on your life style . you dont have to pay any where near $120.000us for a nice BALI style home .

We've kissed the "rat race" goodbye...but not quite made it to a home in Bali
Hi!
Thank you for your reply !!!
I dont need a villa, I need a nice 2 or 3 bedroom BALI style house !!
It's enough for me right now, maybe later WHEN and IF i'll have childs I can think about villas.
You think it's better if I buy or build my new bali-style future house?
Which are the differences ?
Can you tell the prices, if you know ?
THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH !!!!!
Hope you can reply !!!
Cheers, Manuel
Hi Manuel, as Steff was saying this morning you should not need anywhere near what you originally suggested for a residence in Bali.
I would suggest you search the topics in this forum as you will find a lot of discussion on this subject already. I would also suggest that you rent a residence for a while before you jump in an buy somewhere. Buying is also much cheaper if done locally and depends on what you are looking for.
We spent all of February in Bali and found that you could rent a 1 or 2 bedroom house or villa for around 30 million Rupiah per year. You will also find something cheaper if you are looking while in Bali rather than searching on the internet.
I strongly suggest you visit Bali for a month or two to do a "fact finding" trip; we did and found a lot of interesting information that we simply couldn't get over the internet.
Have fun researching,
Cheers,

This sounds familier - I plan to move to Bali, how much does it cost to (fill in the blank)? Shades of BongTime, eh? How can you be "moving" to Bali without having been here and done that - that, as in your homework on the ground and in country. Bali style house, what the f is that? If your looking at homes in Bali via the net you can bet your looking at luxury villas, and they are pricey! Good luck cuz you will need it......
DCC.
Look at this.

This is a Fu**ing balinese house style.
Hilarious, DCC-You got slammed by a newb...   ,,, Hey Steff and Shaz, good to see ya'll posting... I cant add much Manuel, steff&shaz have it spot on, Have fun in your search, Frog
Hold on there ladies - not slammed yet!!!
My point is (I guess you all require explanations) there is no "typical" bali-style house. The home pictured is a BUNGALOW!!!! - generic to much of southeast asia. And FYI the picture home is titled "typical Balinese house", not Bali-style, style and type not not being the same. More correctly I would call that house type local, as in local housing - maybe that'll work for you Manny, or maybe not. You ain't gonna find out from a web site.
