No problem, Freogirl. It's just that when I try to deviate a topic regarding women in general which based on my observation here as I happened to live in Italy, I was told that it's Bali Forum after all. So, I'm just trying to make other people adhere to that too.
And as for horoscopes, it was just an interesting topic to see the characters of each of us here on why we are the way we are as much as experiences and backgrounds are concerned that I found fascinating. I hope you take it as the lighter moment in the forum, and not to be taken seriously given that we were discussing the personal hygenes of pembantus with all the gross details of it all, I should think a subject of horoscope would be a breath of fresh air, that's all. And since I'm not a hypocrite and tend to stand up to what I think and not cower behind any excuse or people, I find that it's boring to hear about Australia and its taxes and political situation unless this is an Australian Forum then I would look for it as to be a member of that Forum and not Bali Forum.

milan wrote:No offence, Bolli. But Jimbo is right in that it is boring... US is the centre of the Universe whether one likes it or not so it's much more stimulating although I don't participate much either such as in the thread of "Reality or Fantasy about Bali" by Bert, where Sumatera and her husband debated with others on issues in America. I find it interesting to read as an outsider.
In all the places in the world I've lived and been, America has always been one of the hot/most debated topics in that it can make or break a friendship even. I haven't met any as such on the Australian politics. Besides, this is a Bali Forum after all.
No offence, ok?

Well tuff titties Milan, just because you find it boring. Sorry but who the hell are you to say what stimulates others. This forum regularly digresses into issues not Bali related and if some posts happen to discuss Australia or Great Britain or Boznia or Italy , well and good.
I'm not that stimulated by your reminiscing as days of a groupie   but don't tell you to stop, cos it ain't Bali related. The US is not the centre of my universe.
Give and take Milan.
p.s. I'm not offended, I'm not that precious.

Hi Milan, I don't have a problem with the horoscope thread, just using it as an example. Those not interested in horoscope, don't open the thread. Those not interested in Australian taxation, and it's deviation to politics, don't open the thread - otherwise run the risk of being bored. The subject of negative gear and income declaration is about as interesting as watching grass grow at the best of times, so why are you reading??

I didn't read but skipped over as I was hoping the subject would make a U-turn to Bali which could be useful for my own knowledge as it is under Bali: Owning Property.
Since my relative is going to buy a Us $ 1 million-dollar land in Bali, I was curious to get to know more regarding properties in Bali just in case. I hope you don't tell me that it is not of my liberty to open any threads I choose in this Forum.

Oops!, I just read Bolli's post. Well, at least my story is related to BALI. And if some posts are about Italy is because Chilli is Italian and it was a mistake on my part to have presumed that she would be interested to anything regarding Italy which I have admittedly said so.
And those that are perhaps written on a lighter note was only to distract from the tensions that were taking place on the Forum.
I hope you don't start with the Australian name-callings as I don't understand them and I couldn't be bothered to be engaged in that sort of thing.
Is there an Australian Forum that you can write your posts to your heart's desire as that way, we all can have a debate here that strictly relates to Bali in some way, directly or indirectly.

I'm singing now as I have a feeling all Australians will jump over me now... But hey, I say what I need to say and politely so.

No worries Jimbo and Milan, but I will point out that the thread title does indicate that the topic is somewhat only interesting to Australians. So why open it and read ? People have banter and off-topic comments back and forth about all sorts of irrelevant stuff that may not be of interest to others (recent string with comments on some sort of football match for example, in a topic about zodiac signs - oh so Balinese, not), those not interested either don't read it, or take a glance and move on. It's a forum - you are not going to be engaged by every post.

Freo / Bolli - exactly!! You've summed it all up. What a bloody load of crap these people are going on about - not interested? Don't bloody read it!

Can't see any name calling Milan???

A strange way to get you singing:(:(

What's your beef with Australia Milan, I'm not even Australian and the posts don't bother me.

Well tuff titties Milan
- To me at least, this is foul.

Well, why are you so angry then?

And the words above sound like a chauvinistic pig's words. You sure sound like a man, are you?

I can't even sing either. Wow! Coming into this Forum about Indonesia and Bali, I didn't know that there are so many don't's by foreigners here.

And by the way, you seem to know me very well by calling me a groupie.
In case you don't understand what the word means. It is a girl who follows any rockband/artists in pursue of their attention or love.
I was none of the above. Just because I was the serious girlfriend of A rock band and A lead guitarist that took place in Jakarta and Bali, you suddenly branded me that? And as you can see, it pertains to Indonesia.

I'm surprised at you, Bolli, for my harmless little comment of "boring" on an Australian political subject --- which is nothing personal against any Australian whatsoever, you could be so belligerent like that.
For all I care, you could come from Timbuktu!

To answer your question Bolli,

I think this is why they are puppets to the U.S.

Seems a bit unfair to jump on Milan for something that I originally started and to deliberately insult her is not in my opinion a very nice thing to do.

My comments were in part instigated not just by this thread in this forum but that there were many so called Bali forums out there that seemed to have nothing on them but Australians talking about Oz. This forum has never been like that and I am happy that is so.

No body least of all me is advocating other subjects than Bali can be talked about but I honestly feel that this thread has reached its natural conclusion. If you do not fair enough go on with it and has you rightly said I will stop reading it.

The danger is that I will tend to think that is all you will write about and skip over your posts.

Dear Milan and Jimbo,

First of all Milan, I changed the subject when you wanted to enter into conversation over Italy because I didn’t feel Italy had much to do with this forum and also I don’t want to enter into idle chit chat over why women eat alone in restaurants in the 21st century.
It felt to me more like you wanted to gossip and gossip is not in my nature.

For the rest regarding Australian politics, I understand that it is boring to you and many others on this forum.

Many posts on this forum are boring to me also but I don’t tell people to change the subject , its boring , in other words shutup.

This is of course a Bali forum but it is a Bali “expat” forum, so many people on this forum are not Indonesians , in other words they are Immigrants/ foreigners of Indonesia and will sometimes run off into other angles of conversation.

I hope this is understandable.

To me it is as if you have guests in your home and you tell them that their conversation is boring and they have to change the subject.

We have been boring to you, but you are being rude and dismissive to us.

Well put chilli.

Milan, tough titties (or tuff titties) just means 'bad luck', as in, "you don't like it, bad luck!". It is neither vulgar or chauvinistic. Talking about keeping on subject, there's been several threads that you started that were completely unrelated to Bali.

I find that a little dismissive and being referred to as a chauvinist pig could also be construed as an insult, but I'm not weeping and wailing over it .

Yes, you are advocating it Jimbo and its a form of forced dismissal,

it is not a danger to me if you decide you will skip over my posts in the future Jimbo.
