Hi there,
I am looking for a Honda Tiger 2003 or newer in good condition with paperwork for under 10 Juta if anyone is looking to sell theirs. Also may be interested in a Yamaha Scorpio.
you could try tokobagus...but I doubt you will find a tiger on Bali for that price and that buildyear. Scorpio's tend to be a little cheaper priced..
don't read between the lines..i think the words are clear enough...:)
Rarely does the bi-monthly issue of the bali advertiser go by without having a honda tiger in it for sale. They are usually being sold by expats (but not always) and you can check the ads online too. But I concur with gilberts comments , ie; for 10 juta , you will not get a newish one, as they are about 25 juta now to buy new, and bikes and cars hold their prices well in indo. Secondhand Scorpios are a rarity , as the owners tend to hang onto them more , as they are becoming more and more known as reliable workhorses.
Sometimes in Bali advertiser though you will get an expat thats leaving indonesia , and has run out of time to unload their unwanted items , and is willing to let the item/bike go cheaply, but you need to be ready to pounce.
Autobild magazine has the latest 2ndhand prices in it , so does otomotive magazine, if you want to check .

Thanks for the advice, I do agree that vehicles and bikes really retain their values in Indonesia, but cash in hand seems to work well here. I am stripping them down and doing full engine rebuilds so even a little older is fine as long as the frames are solid. I have already bought a couple in Denpasar at this price which is why I was asking if anyone knew of any more available as I am planning on buying 5 or 6 more for a business I am starting with bike tours and rentals as well as selling them for export. I'll keep my eye on the Bali advertiser as well as here, it seems that most expats keep good care of their bikes.
In Bali you see lots of Honda tigers but in Surabaya only Honda mega pro. Second hand Scorpios are hard to find, a new Scorpios is on a 3 month waiting list. I was talking to Yamaha & there is only 2 sent to Surabaya a month. I own a 2007 Scorpio & have never had a problem except trying to change the Rego from Bali to Surabaya so I just leave the Bali plates on. The price I paid was not much cheaper then Australia for a new bike that size.
I have seen people export old vespers to Australia but were would you send a used tiger?
Looked at the new Bajaj Pulsar 220, 21,000,000rp , look really nice & better price then the CRB250.
Hi again, just bumping up this thread as I am still buying and modifying these bikes. I am happy with any model year as long as the frame and engine is in good shape. I still have less than 10 posts so cannot return private messages so please respond here. Thanks in advance
