Hi all.. Ok, the comment about something in indo being done by the book having to involve a payoff was sarcasm (apologies if mis-interpreted).. The passport experience was late last year at bali int airport.. Finding the right person to pay off isn't that hard, we found the person for our friends in relation to the passport.. We have friends who are in admin at the airport.., through them we met one of the supervisors, who we asked for an immigration contact, that was it.. Done.. Now if u have been caught in indo workin on a holiday visa, who caught u? There's ur first contact, u ask them who u can speak to from their department to get it resolved without things gettin messy.. I hate to say it, but in my time in sby and bali, it really has been that easy.. Unless it's gotten less corrupt in the last 3 months then I stick by my original post..

Dear redgirl
Sorry I just saw this now,Yes people do donate volunteer time for free I am one of them. Ibu Robin from the bumi Sehat clinic in Ubud can make a social visa for you.I suppose this is done and over with by now, just wondering what's happened since then? Are you still there have you returned? If you volunteered at Bumi Sehat How did you like it? I was just there to see Ibu Robin oct 2008 to drop off homeopathic remedies for her clinic. :D
I know there is great need in her other clinic located in Sumatra.
