I have talking with people on a photography related mailing list, if I should publish one of the panoramas of the actual birth.
Some people say it should be published, other people are afraid that it will be misused.
I was right there at the birth of my son, Bert, 17 years ago and I sure didn't, and still don't, think it's something I'd want to photograph and look at years later to remember! A new-born fresh from the womb baby is a revolting mess of a sight...at least that was my opinion! Wouldn't want to experience it again - but there again, I wouldn't want the whole child-rearing business again either!
Colin.
Well, that's an understatement if ever I heard one! :roll:Originally Posted by Bert

Hi Bert,
The birth of a baby is a magical proses, but in my opinion it's not good idea to post the picture here for the world to see, even if the person agreed.
Thanks
I agree.
It is a special & beautiful thing but.....
does she really understand what this means & the fact that not everyone who looks at this picture will be looking at it in a such an innocent or wholesome light?
And what does her partner or the father of the baby think?
As a woman, I know I would not want a picture like this of me on the net.
What do our other female members think?

I would like to know too. What do our other female members think?
I have discussed it only with male photographers until now.
I went to a "Birth and Baby" forum to ask some pregant women, but the post was deleted
Bert, even though I agree that giving birth to a child is an incredible experience, I personally, would never have agreed to being photographed in this position.
Maybe this could be attributed to cultural differences... who knows. During a conversation with a Swiss colleague yesterday, he suggested that people from English speaking countries are more prudish than those from other European countries. Maybe he has a point.
I wonder, does Ayu fully understand that not just a few people, but ANYONE can view this very graphic photo?
