Schooling in Bali without Kitas

Postby Jo on Tue Jan 15, 2008 7:36 am

Hi all,

This is my first post here, but been reading this forum for some time now. I will be moving to Bali as of the 25th of January and have 2 children that will go to school in Bali.
Can anyone tell me if I need to have Kitas for them to be able to go to school. ? As I will only be there on a social visa.

Thanks
Jo

Hi Jo

Sorry no-one has replied to your query as yet.

I'm guessing no-one currently posting on this board has first hand information.

What sort of school are you planning on sending your kids to? If one of the international schools I suggest you check with the school itself. I'm assuming your children will also be on social visas? The Indonesian Consulate in Perth may also be able to give you some information.

Cheers

Your turn to come to Perth Dasha. I owe you a dinner and a bottle or 4 of red. Come see my view.

Hi Jo,
If you like send me an e-mail and I can answer some questions. It's not that I cant post it on here, I just don't have alot of time at the moment. My kids are going to school in Bali next year just for a term. They will go to the Aust. International School and they can attend on a Social visa, they do not need a KITAS as stated on the AIS web-site.
Kind reagrds, Tracey
