    Default Paranormals in Bali

Does anyone know of any Paranormals or have had any experiences with Paranormals in Bali?. I've just been reading one of Roy's old threads about some of this stuff and it's pretty interesting.

I've known a guy here for a while now who is a well known/respected balinese Paranormal, I don't believe all the stories people tell me about him (not one for fairy tales) but from what he's said in the time I've known him has been very very accurate, even to the point of out right spooky.

Anyway he invited me the other day to a ceremony, can't remember where or when it will take place but it involves people sticking daggers into themselves and removing them unharmed, maybe someone knows the name of it?.

Thanks, maybe I'll just ask my Paranormal buddy next time I see him, he's keen to take me out for a round of golf at Tanah Lot sometime soon.

It's called "find an idiot and take his money" a very old science started before the Catholic Church and suspected of being the downfall of Neanderthal (he couldn't quite get it right with that dagger thing).

Look in all sincerity this is nothing but factious bullshit and it's been around since God was a baby and been taking money from the gullible since before that.

If you want to go along for the show - then enjoy, but leave the wallet firmly at home!

...yeah, witnessed a 'cutting myself' and 'stabbing the stomach' show, sorry but I can't give it another name then show, 'cause that's what it is. Don't know if that has any ties with paranormal, they are for sure abnormal, even worse are the people who take this serious...it's entertainment

the story behind the show is something like, the 'stabber' get's possesed by some spirit (ancestors) and is therefor untouchable (can't be cut or penetrated)..anyways after the show I talked with the guy whilest smiling I asked him if it also works if someone else does the stabbing/cutting ...ofcourse a big smile is what I got as an answer, and no-no-no..that's not possible
don't read between the lines..i think the words are clear enough...:)

That was my initial thought when I first met this guy. Thing is he doesn't accept money, not sure if its because the guy is loaded or what but he doesn't charge like Mr Ketut up in there in Ubud. On the 10th of every month he takes a group of around 50 people, mainly chinese, some hindu, some muslim up to Tampak Sering for a shower in the pools, then to a near by temple to pray, either Kintamani, Ganung Agung, Besaki, Tabanan. The dudes like the Don King of Bali with a jerry curl getting you into areas of the temples tourists aren't allowed into. Great way to see the island as well. Its full day trip all for the small price of 0 RP.

Yea it doesn't have any ties with paranormal, still I wouldn't mind seeing it. Where did it take place by the way? Its not a touristy thing is it

Thanks for the heads up. I am in a big 'collect books about the place I am moving to' kick. Will try and find this one as well. Just ordered the 2 Niskala was talking about last night actually.

That guy sounds very interesting BKT. If he's not charging then nothing to lose at all. I think it takes a personal experience with someone who knows things they have no other way of knowing to open your mind to at least entertaining the idea. I grew up with a weirdo - my mom (also spookily accurate), and even still I have a hard time trusting in unique abilities of some people.
