Default The "Magic" of Bali (!?)

Talking about blaming the victim! It happened once more, this time in Sangit (a nice village, by the way). Who got violated, the cow or the 25-year-old man, identified only by the initials “MS” ? I don't know about you, but to me, and to the traditional and ritual head of the village, Jro Gede Segara, it makes lot of sense WOW, the magic of Bali...

    Sangit? or Sangsit?

I'm not sure who got more raped in this story, the cow or the villagers who have to fork out for the ceremony.

Maybe the cow was compliant in the act, there doesn't seem to be any evidence either way. There is too much of this in Bali, cows parading themselves wantonly, completely naked and without any sense of modesty. She was probably begging for it and the village obviously share my opinion otherwise they would be drowning MS. She got what she deserved, no doubt about it.

    Default Lucky us

Luckily, in the West, we don't operate under the same "adat." If we did, Ms. Diallo would have been drowned in New York's Hudson River, and Miss Tristane Banon would have met the same fate in Paris' Seine River. However, as in Sangsit, the perpetrator, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, did escape any punishment.

Gilbert, I thought it was more than an attempt. I thought it was a really funny and humorous way to describe what was so very wrong in the situation of drowning a cow because a man had sex with her. That poor, poor cow.
!! Or at least I hope it was meant to be funny.!!

I remember a similar story just over a year ago. Seems the poor cow got drowned then too. According to my wife it only seems to be snakes that turn into good looking men and cows that turn into beautiful women to seduce their victims. So the dogs and chickens are probably safe.
