Female Nomad
I have just read Tales of a Female Nomad (2001) by Rita Golden Gelman. She writes about 15 years of travel including 8 in Bali. She spend some years in the village of Kerambitan which is about 5 Km west of Tabanan and about 5 Km inland from the coast. This account has more depth than Eat, Pray Love. Tell me something that doesn't have more depth. They were showing it above Hardy's in Amlapura over Galungang and nobody went as far as I could see.

Went to a screening in a private home in Ubud, last week. I was in a crowd scene at the market!!
Fell asleep and missed it. Woke up near the end, to see the odd looking beach with a jetty!! when was that built and where is it, I want to fish from it
I have just learnt that pleasing everyone is impossible. But, pissing them off is a piece of cake
Did you know it's possible to go from Ubud to the beach in about 5 minutes? Me neither!
