    Default A Childs View

We have been planning our series of long term trips for a while now and i have been working very hard over the last few months to save for our first stint.

Talking to Miss 15 today about some issues that have arisen in relation to a very unwanted bill and i said "well i will just have to work it into the budget and maybe cut the trip short or leave a little later" to which she pipes up in absolute earnest

"mum, mum, no dont do that...i dont know why you just dont sell it all.I havent watched my TV for at least 5 days just sell that to.I reckon all we need is our airfare there and we will wing it the rest of the time"

LOL if only it was that easy

So your daugher really wants to move to Bali? I thought kids at that age would be worried about missing their friends.
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat drinking beer all day.

I love how kids love Bali...when my daughter was asked what she liked the most about living in Bali, I was expecting an answer along the lines of McDelivery, Waterbom, shopping etc!!!

I was pleasantly surprised when she replied "All the really really nice people here"

I thought so to spicyayam, and was mildly surprised by her attitude when we first started talking about it last year.

She is a different soul to most 15 year olds, i suppose having lived in Cambodia and Borneo with me has reflected alot on her attitude to life.

mand2020.....yes when we speak about it with friends she runs along the same lines as your daughter.
She recently moved high schools and wanted to do her SACE subject of indonesian language A & B....the school canned it as there werent enough students so she was trying to rally 10 more kids to enrol just so she could do it lol...sadly she couldnt :(
