Some really useful info here on internet services in Bali but I was wondering if anyone has any experience on Nusa Lembongan. We will be spending Christmas and New Year there and one of our party has to have internet access(indispensable obviously) I have a Vodaphone dongle and could do with some advice as to simcard choice. It may be the same advice as for Bali?
I have been there before and found that the internet services available were sporadic with poor download speed and expensive.
Hi there, if it's any help my brother owns Scallywags Organic Seafood Bar & Grill at Sandy Bay & has free wifi right onto the beach. Not sure I am allowed to post his link but what the heck!

Have a great time, he's coming to snowy UK for Xmas - what is he thinking?
Bev.
In the end I went for Indosat 3.5G Broadband. It didn't work on Nusa LembonganIt also didn't work West of Lovina. It did work in Ubud, where we spent some days.
It depends where, west of Lovina. Around Temukus, about 5 Km west of Central Lovina, it works fine. But in parts of Kaliasem, 1-2 Km west - there seems to be no 3G.
Also, I have found in many places where you cannot get 3G inside a house, you may get it from out on a verandah or Bale. If the modem can see a strong non-3G signal (4-5 bars) and a weaker 3G signal (1-2 bars), it seems to select the 3G - so it is worth trying a few different spots to see how your luck goes.
