Postby Gabriella on Thu Jun 05, 2008 9:49 pm

I don't have a phoneline as I am moving around Bali....but I need the internet to work in different places...also the more remote like Tamblingan, Munduk (there are mobilphone connection here, but I know that through the mobile it is very expensive)and Lovina...What do you suggest? I am thinking about doing work on the internet like 3 hours a day...I would be really thank you for your help as I am very lost here!!!
Thank you and best regards from Gabriella

Hi Gabriella,
Things are always changing but for the last year or so the sim card purchased from Mentari has provided me with the most time for my money. I use a Sierra wireless card I purchased on Ebay for $60. US, but other pcmcia devices are available. The satellite availability varies somewhat in different parts of Bali, but I can connect even in Jembrana regency which has few users. Good Luck!

In Nusa Dua I used Indosat IM2 which was a good signal I dont know the technical stuff but if you just go into the office they will fix you up. No signal here in Pecatu though so Im on Global Extreme, which although I have wireless in the house I cant use out and about as I could with IM2.
