I've noticed in the last 2 weeks that our local Amlapura Hardys has more and more things that they don't have and are moving other things into the places where the other stuff was before in an attempt to fill the holes in the shelves up. We aren't talking specialty stuff here but daily needs things that move quickly and in bulk like large (1k) coffee, coffee milk powder, washing up things, etc.

At the same time they are also bringing back their booze section (Hurray!) which last closed during the fiasco with the central gov booze law.

    So, who knows?

yap iv noticed holes in the stock ,also local coffee , I suspect they haven't been paying the suppliers bills , a company like hardys cannot expand so fast into many areas outside their experience without financial consequences , I would have thought.

It was the same on 2/1/17. Bought some Bali coffee (not my usual Toraja) to bring back to Perth. Tasted so awful I ended up mixing it with Vittoria Expresso - now tastes excellent. Maybe I'm on to something!

The secret to good Bali coffee (doesn't seem to matter which brand and there's about a 1/3rd price diff) is to use powdered creamer and mix like mad with boiling water.

Then walk away for 5 minutes.

Come back and just stir the top bit.

Viola a creamy, strong cup of non-bitter or sandy coffee. I love it and will leave every other brew standing to have one.

Except I like my coffee black and strong. My husband liked it with the creamer - Too sweet for me.
