Hi Dyah! Sorry I missed your post until just now. Yes, we have owned all of these kris, although over time we have sold some to other collectors. For each of our three boys we have put one aside, as well as others that we simply would not sell unless we were in dire circumstances...in which case my wife's jewelry would go first! Glad you enjoyed them!
Aloha Bert, Thanks for getting me hooked up. I am heading to Bali for the month of March, hope to get a few pictures up from previous trips before I go, but if not for sure on my return. Meanwhile I am enjoying what has already been posted, great pictures from all!
and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make....
Thank you very much Bert, Roy dan Sanurian. Really nice pictures. Make me feel the warmth of Bali when I feel blue Jean-Pascal
PS : I am trying to find some pictures from my journeys in Bali in 1979-1980. If I can find them I will post them on the site with others from my last trips in 2003 and 2005 (if I can manage to do it, not being a high tech freak like you guys )
I have submitted some photos from Bali and a couple from our wedding in Melbourne. I'm not sure what section the wedding photos should be in or if they're allowed under the rules.
Why not "Foreign Affairs", Bert ? Anyway, it is Valentine Day, and it is worth a new category. PS : looking forward to see them, Allan. And welcome to the forum.
Jimbo – obviously you and the cheese and kisses (in down town Saudi Arabia) are just like us.
Cos we just had the great pleasure of perusing Allan’s family snaps of the wedding and all and I gotta tell ya .. We were quite chuffed. Whoever dragged this old archive outa the archive needs a meddle.
Firstly it’s beena bitta hard slog or both of us cos we are now sleeping in the boardroom since Saturday. You my find this hard to believe but we have so much now on our plate that we have to do the things we need to do simply because the project is so big now.
But anyways we managed to capture this one as it came up and had to reply for obvious reasons.
Allan your wife is beautiful and the day you had is demonstrative of not only her but your pride in You tubing.
Al .. Is that Botanical or Flagstaff? I can’t quite make it out. Nice dress and yellow flowers the bridge scene.. Gayle said “I hope Leah can get a snap like that (Leah is our only daughter / exec PA) on her wedding day. Great trees and grass and only Melbourne can do. Like the no tie look Al... nice style. Yellow flowers again. Group scene. Limo arrives. Southbank ahhhh …. Is there any place that rank any more amazing on the planet (our doorstep)? The Yarra in the background … one day the will get this river to float the right way up. Yellow flowers still in hand. Are we now talking reatraunt tram with a very looking Mark Latham look with the new bride tiara and the like. Moving and grooving on St Kilda Rd / Fitzroy St / Frankston. Is that the great flames of crown I see??? . Could not have chosen a more better place than Southbank to celebrate the most important post party with your newly chosen soul sister I reckon Al.. fairdinkum. Is that her in white now? Crown Towers in daylight .. Nice touch old son. What’s with the workbench and a smile onya face.. Is it the 1st time??? I don’t think so… and what mag have you got there .. Surely you don’t need that now or are you reading the Docklands guide to Fave restaurants. Is that the new Mrs Al in the pool post brekky?? Whoops lookout its QLD and the goldcoast and a I hearing “Rocking on Down The Highway” by the Doobies by any chance??? There she is now dressed in black on what appears to be Burleigh North or perhaps Narrow neck just south of the new artificial reef at Surfers. Who knows? Dasha’s mind gets fogged. Now the sunset … What a life. Now go and live it and have credibility … which means finding the soul mate as early as you can .. And living it
Ramblings of an old codger.. Think I need an Earl Grey and a cuppla nice choky coated scotch fingers before Gayle tucks me in
Dasha, that's Flagstaff gardens. The flowers we bought in Chapel Street and made the arrangement ourselves for about $40. If you look on line the professionals want five times that much. Mark Latham look? Ah ok... but without the manboobs.
And good luck with the project. Looking forward to hearing about it later.
