Hello All, I'm new in this forum.

My husband, my son (11 yrs) and I are planning to live in Bali as soon as our home is sold in the USA. I believe a USA passport doesn't require a visa to enter into Singapore. Can We apply for a Social Visa while We're in Singapore??? (if so, can We apply ourselves or do We need an agent to help us and also can you help us with the address of the Embassy in Singapore please??)
We do have a sponsor's letter from Indonesia (from Medan). Is there any thing else they (Embassy in Singapore) need besides the sponsor's letter??
Also one last question, We have 2 small dogs, is it possible to bring our dogs to Bali???(please say yes, cuz my son already cries every day, since We told him, We can't bring the dogs)

Does it matter whether the letter (sponsor's letter) states that We'll be staying in Medan with her even though We're going to Bali instead??

Do you have any advise about bringing dogs??

About the dogs, type "pets" in the search box on the top right.....

It's sad to say, the USA is one of the rabies infected countries that aren't allowed to bring a dog to Bali.
I hate to break this news again for the last time to my son.
Do We need a bank statement from our sponsor??

In Singapore its not needed, at least the times I went there it was not.

In the near future I'm sure my husband has alot of questions in regard to living in Bali, I hope you don't mind if I direct him to you for his questions. It seems like you're very knowledgeable about living in Bali.
BTW I'm an Indonesian woman (from Sumatra) marrying a man from The US and have been living in the USA for over 14 yrs. We visit Bali back in April 2007, My husband, son and I love Bali (even though I'm from Indonesia, I've never been in Bali before) Now we're just sick and tired of the winters around here (USA) and need sunshine really badly.

I hope everything goes smoothly selling my house, I know right now the market is not good for selling but you never know. As soon as our home is sold we'll move out of here. Can't wait. Maybe, we can meet while we are there (Bali).
