I am in Kuta about 500 metres from pantai kuta, its double ruko and three bedroom double story house (no pool) behind the ruko and its 5 mil per month. Obviously, its paid yearly otherwise they hook the price up.
Need to spend some time looking casually as usually their is a steady amount of people going bankrupt resulting in them overcontract the rent. Get some good deals if u got the time![]()

The properties Mat gives prices on sound like BTNs which are compact homes designed for local people, and in the lower cost north. Seems like comparing chalk and cheese - yet the discussion goes on almost as if they are comparable properties in the same area with vastly different rent costs.
True I am talking BTN for the 7-10 juta a year. But still 13 mill a month does sound steep for a place with no garden.
You can get a big garden , pool and villa for 5 juta a month in the north if you have time to look.
Maybe a good idea to stay in a hotel for a couple of weeks and look around.
Yes, completely differently properties. It does make you think though, the price of buying a simple house in north Bali is about the same price as renting a villa in Seminyak for one year.

try maybe to get a deal with a resort too. some resorts rent a bungalow for a period of 3 to 6 months.
