Default Is this the right price for a room to rent in a house?

I found a room to rent in a house in seminyak on craigslist. It has a pool, very basic needs a paint but is clean. It's $400 per month, just for the room but obviously share the house and pool? It's only like $13 per night which sounds very cheap but im not sure if its cheap in bali terms??

    Thanks in advance ;)

US$400 is about 3.6 million a month which sounds like a reasonable price for a room in a shared house. You will need to ask if it includes electricity, water, wi-fi access, etc. These may be extra.

I'd like to add, be very careful with advertisements on Craigslist. There are a lot of scammers on that site, looking for unwitting holiday makers to pay in advance. In many cases, the accommodation just doesn't exist.

Take a look at this site: Here be dragons: Internet chicanery, cons and scams
From the homepage: "I have two blogs at the moment - Here Be Dragons which is devoted to rental scams primarily sourced through Craigslist..."
Madness takes its toll. Please have exact change.

Probably a good idea to book a hotel and stay there for a few days and then start looking for accommodation.
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat drinking beer all day.

A good place to stay is sayang maha mertha, alot of bad reviews but I have stayed there 10+ times and never had a problem with it.. you can get a room i think $12.50 a night with fan bathroom & no fridge however Bali fridges are terrible.. in the hotels anyway and the bar is more than happy to have your drinks in there awesome frdge..
