Pool Chemicals

Postby hinakos on Sun Jan 04, 2009 7:07 am

Im wondering what price others out there who have pools pay per month for chemicals.
My price has gone up from around 160k Rp per month 6 months ago to 400K Rp per month now. This is an average pool, maybe around 5m x 12m.

Ill get down to the pool chem shop next time im home and check the cost myself, but think the pool guy is skimming more than just the leaves.

This is for materials only, not labour.

Thanks.

Ever thought of converting your pool to a salt chlorinator hinakos, presuming they are available in Bali? The water feels much fresher and no chlorine smells. In Australia per year I would probably only pay around $25 for salt, $20 for acid and maybe $20-40 for stabiliser, for a smallish pool and with no kids doing bombies requiring frequent top ups. You run the pool filter for around 6-8 hours per day. I also have an automatic pool cleaner (cost around $600 new) so no need for the pool guy either. Costs are in Aussie $ by the way.

Thanks Toucan, as im renting im not going to do any conversions. Also im kinda just wondering if the cost of chemicals in Bali went up 200% or not.....as my bills have. Oz would be a lot mor expensive for these products no doubt. Thanks

We pay 450k per month for two guys to come three times a week, including all chemicals. Have done so for two years.

Im officially done with my pool guy, the "musim hujan" excuses dont cut it.

Does anyone know a decent pool guy in Seminyak with his own vacuum gear etc? Im happy to tip on top of monthly wage if my pol is sparkling.

Im tired of people holding their hands out for tips regardless of the quality of their work. Showing up for work is not grounds for a tip. Sorry , blabbing on like this is sometimes theraputic.

NEed a new pool guy
