Ron there is no double dipping by the tax man, but on your Australian tax return you are asked if you earn money outside of Australia, as long as you have paid the correct tax in that country the Australian government has no problems. Now Gary's Indonesian company wants to tell the Indonesian tax that he flies between Australia & Indonesia for work. Most business in Australia work on 90% card & 10% cash, Indonesia works on 99% cash & 1% card, so tax in Australia is easy you pay tax you fill out you tax return each year & you get money back. Now you know how the tax system works in Indonesia? if you would ask any Indonesian business owner how the tax system works here they would tell you "go to the casino in Malaysia" you can see first hand how your tax dollar is put to good work.
Sorry has anybody received money back from the tax man in Indonesia???????

    Same agreement with NL.
Maybe the tax department would want to (and they're welcome to do so), but the tax-office in Singaraja doesn't have a computer.
fred2, I have never received any tax-return from the taxman in Indonesia..but same as you, I am unemployed (not allowed to work)
